If you're a matcha lover or even slightly curious about matcha desserts, Kiss of Matcha is an absolute must-visit! The highlight for me was their creamy and perfectly balanced matcha soft serve. The flavor was rich and earthy without being overly sweet, and the drizzle of matcha syrup on top added a nice touch. I also tried the black sesame soft serve, which was smooth, nutty, and just as delightful. I couldn't leave without trying their Matcha Affogato, and wow--it did not disappoint! The combination of warm, freshly whisked matcha poured over soft serve was both indulgent and refreshing. The blend of vanilla and matcha soft serve created the perfect balance of creamy sweetness and authentic matcha bitterness. This was a standout treat that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting. Their presentation is beautiful, with each cup served in chic, minimalist black containers with elegant branding. The cozy interior, featuring warm wooden tones and Japanese-inspired décor, adds to the experience. The phrase "一緒にお茶" (let's have tea) written on the wall made the ambiance feel even more inviting. A quaint spot that is busy and packed of people lining up to order, waiting for their order and indulging on the spot. They sell multiple soft serves, drinks, desserts, you name it! We tried the matcha soft serve and it was delicious. It was very rich and packed of matcha powder. I could feel it with every lick. The hojicha drink was refreshing and can be used as a nice pick me up~

my new go-to place to get matcha in the city! it's a small shop with only 4 seats inside, and there are 2 self-service kiosks to order from. the interior is really cute & is reminiscent of small shops in japan. if it's busy, there might be a bit of a wait because each drink is made to order. the matcha is hand-whisked in front of customers. i've tried the uji matcha latte & the hojicha banana smoothie. the uji matcha latte is made with high-quality, ceremonial-grade matcha & it tastes delicious. it's not too sweet, and the matcha flavor really shines. the hojicha banana smoothie is great too, but i'll probably exclusively get only the matcha-based drinks from here in the future since i preferred the matcha latte. small tip- you can also buy their matcha powder! if it's out of stock on the self-serve kiosk, ask any of the workers because they might have more in store.

I was sososo excited to visit this place while I am in the bay, and I finally got to try it and will 100% come back again!!! Kiss of Matcha is going to be my go to for matcha if I am craving for the sweeter side of matcha. The drink I got was on the sweeter and creamier side and every sip of it makes me want to buy a second drink. I love the interior so much mainly because I love bears and bears are my type of aesthetic. The cafe was a little cramped and it gets really confusing whether everyone was standing to wait for their drinks or waiting in line for the kiosk. Love this place so much for a first timer!

Cute small place. Drink was yummy and dessert was squishy and soft also yummy. If craving matcha I would come back again.

I came across Kiss of Matcha while wandering Sunset District and was pleasantly surprised! This small unassuming place was just what we needed for refreshments on our walk. There was a bit of a wait but service overall was reasonable. There are small bar stools for seating, but it's more of a grab-and-go kinda spot. Uji Matcha Latte - not overly sweet, perfect strong matcha flavors, nice green color palette Matcha Frappe - cold & refreshing, well-balanced matcha bitter & sweet flavors Loved the drinks we ordered, would definitely get them again. Will be back to try their ube & hojicha creations! Also heard they have some delicious soft-serve too :D

Love the convenience of ordering on a kiosk. The shop itself is small with only a few bar chairs, so it's pretty much a grab and go place. I ordered a hojicha oat latte with boba and it did not disappoint. The hojicha flavor is strong and am not hoping I don't regret ordering this at noon. The boba itself wasnt the softest, maybe a little undercooked because the middle was hard. The service was great, only waited about 5 minutes. Next time I would skip the boba and try their matcha because thats their best seller! Parking is just metered street parking so it can be tough, but not impossible.

One of my favorite matcha places in the Bay Area! Most places have drinks that are either too watery or have a grainy weird texture, but this place has a strong matcha flavor that's decently/nicely sweetened. I can't speak much for the service or ambiance since I was in-and-out fast but it was a cute place with some (not a lot) seating.
